Who cares what anyone thinks? If you like em go ahead and do it, and enjoy!

You're never too old to enjoy watching small furry things running up and down tubes, that's what I say. Honestly mate, don't worry about it, it gives you character.

That one looks fricking cool - when I have kids I'm going to ensure that they get hamsters, just so that my wife won't think that I'm regressing if I got some! :p:

I had 2 Russian Dwarf hamsters, they are soooo cute and making stuff for them to live/play in is really fun. Go for it!

Crap, I look like a sissy now... hey guys did I mention I once strangled a nun?

It glows in the dark, I was thinking of this too, not as fun but easier to clean :p:

Meh, I prefer the other one, but I forgot about that - it'll be a bitch to clean out - ensure you have a secondary cage or something to keep the hamsters in when you're cleaning out their main one.

God, talking about all this stuff has made me think about the hamster I had when I was much younger - his name was Fuzzy and he was wonderful - I was devestated when he died, but still, he lived for bloody ages - was about 3.5 years old when he finally popped his clogs! :frown:

Thats quite old for a hamster I think they only live 2 years on average..well my last one lived 2 and half:frown:

Russian Dwarves don't live very long either btw.

Edit: that's hamsters, I have no idea of the life expectancy of vertically challenged Kremlins.

Yeah, it was very surprising that he lived for so long. Still, condolences of your loss mate. I haven't thought about my hamster in years - since I was about 11 or 12, but I'm surprised how sad I feel now thinking back about it. Still, I'm sure he's in a better place now.
