Anyway i kinda befriended this guy in the last few weeks and he is ever soo nice and listens to me and everythin. The thing is he is younger than me (i'm 17 hes 16) and well i split wiht my BF yesterday and he helped me through that. I split with him cos he was possessive. Anyway this guy hugged me the other day and its like when we r in a group he always talks to me only for like a long time. Today he like hugged me too when he saw i was sad and when we were talkin its like i had all his attention. We are both into poetry and he always said one day we should meet up and share BUT i asked him and he said he was busy (btw this was friendly)...what do you think his intentions are?

maybe he just knew you had broken up with your boyfriend and wanted to be a good friend.. also, if he has been talking to you a lot, then it's probably just because you have the same interests (poetry.. well ok, one interest).
i'd forget him to be honest. lots of boys hug girls and have no other intention that being nice.
also, he could have just been busy when you asked him.. ask him again, and he might not be.

helped you through it? wow, you got over your bf quick.

sounds to me like he likes you but doesnt want to get to close unless he ruins the friendship

He def might like you... but he's probably a little wary of the fact that you just broke up with someone. The one year age diff shouldn't matter... I'm 18 and i like a 17 year old. :smile:

Pumpkins comments seemed fair enough to me, ok maybe the forget him bit might be abit over the top.
But i think Pumpkin meant perhaps you should forget him in the way your seeing him.

i think 16 year old males are rather predictable. i mean on the surface, there is the friendship, but really, he jes wants to get laid. im not saying hes not friends with her, but there is *always* that underlying force that subconciously dictates who men become friends with. (edit: concerning females, unless your gay of course)

im only a little bit older, i know, it still happens to me. except i see it coming a mile off now lol
