Does anybody happen to know why I am getting less Maintenance Loan in my Third Year?

I am literally getting £200 less per term. I think this is a significant decrease

and the panic sets in...

I'm the same. I think it's standard practice for all final year students, which kinda sucks.

Same, apparently third years get less because we aren't expected to need the loan for the summer since we'll have finished uni and should be working.

In the first years I was told they give you a bit for summer but in final year they expect you to gain full time employment.

Have your parents/guardians come into more money than previous years?

I suppose this makes sense, but considering most students are living in their overdrafts as it is, I think it's a bit unfair :/ Oh well!

As a final year, you'll be entitled to benefits if not working over the summer. But, you can't claim benefits if not in final year.

Lucky you, I'm getting just £1800 for the ENTIRE YEAR. There's no way that can be right, but that's more than halved from last year.
