Problematic Icing! Watch
Now, I'm sure the cake has icing on the top, so I made bog standard icing (icing sugar + lemon juice), but it's not the same as on the cake. It tastes too...metallic. I might be that I should be using lemon essence instead of juice perhaps? Or maybe it's the icing sugar? Does anyone have any ideas on how to make icing that doesn't taste so metallic?
P.S. It's not a cream cheese frosting I'm trying to replicate, so I think I'm along the right lines.
