What film is the gif in your sig from? It's scaring me ****less

Lol I've forgotten to be honest but yeah it is pretty freaky
I remember my family winning some money on the lottery years ago. About £200. At that time this was the equivalent of winning like £10,000 today since the winning jackpot was so much smaller.

If only there was a way to find out the winning numbers, then go back in time and pick those winning numbers. :daydreaming:

Grandfather won 88grand, to this day i still don't know what he's done with it
My dad won £3,000 about 10 years ago, but he's never won since then.

My gran does about 5 lottery draws on different games and 3 scratch cards every week and usually wins £30-40 a week.

I've never won anything and I do the lottery once a week.

I won -50 dollars. Bought ten tickets. Matched no more than 2 numbers per ticket. Sad weekend that was.

I remember hearing a story of a guy that spent his 21st birthday money on 200 tickets and didn't win a penny!!
My gran has literally been doing it since it started and I think the most she has won was maybe a few hundred. :dontknow:

Facepalm all you want. I know it probably sounds strange in this materialistic and money driven world we live in, but i dont want to win the lottery.

I presume you are in the upper middle class bracket who daddy and mommy gives you everything you ask for so your argument is justified.

Not family but I thought I should share anyway.

My Auntie's friend's daughter (I swear I'm not lying) has the same numbers that she puts on every week. However when she was on holiday and she hadn't put her numbers on they came in and she would have won about £3.5million. She only found out about 6 months later when she downloaded the lottery app on her phone, which told her when she plugged her numbers in that she would have won.

I think I would kill myself.
Don't see why some people are so uptight and stuck up about the lottery. It's a bit of fun, if you play it every few weeks/months or whatever then what is the harm. It's a bit of fun, gives you a small chance to gain riches and that's about it. Sure it's extremely unlikely you'll win but so what? People doing it (in moderation) are having fun and not causing any harm while you're all grumpy complaining about how it's a tax and only idiots would spend money on it blah blah.

Anyway - no I haven't and neither has anyone in my family (apart from the odd £10 or whatever it is).

There is a girl who used to go to my school (in fact, that's a bit generous, she turned up a couple times a month) who won £2 milion. Absolute failure of a person, pregnant at 16 and smoked/drank while pregnant, belongs to a family of druggies blah blah.
my grandma won a couple of grand.

if i won i'd buy myself a house and pay off my car finance  we put on a ticket every week

I think the most anyone in my family has won is £500.

I do think they spend too much money on it though, I mean I'll buy a ticket for the euro if it's a gigantic jackpot (like on Friday) but otherwise I don't bother.

Though sometimes if I need change for parking I'll buy a scratch card, I did that in march and won £1 bough another with at pound, won £2 them I bought two more and got £10 on kne and £20 on the other lol

It always seems that rich people win it more often

That's how the rich stay rich
No idea, but I have my ticket for tomorrow. :colone:
I know someone who won £30 000.

Someone related to me won over £1million. Winning the lottery isn't like it is on the lottery adverts. Very stressful with all the financial planning and stuff involved.

Still, even though I know it's possible to win, I still don't play it. It's just a form of gambling, but one where the chances of winning are extremely low. If you're going to gamble, you'd be much better going to your local casino/online casino and playing the slot machines, some of them pay out like crazy.

Well your presumption couldn't be further from the truth. My family have never been well off and i have never had everything handed to me on a plate. My father died when i was six and left my mother to raise me and my sister with a barely above minimum wage job.

Wealth, status, power, having expensive cars, a big house filled with lots of shiny stuff and servents to wipe your arse, none of it interests me in the slightest. Call me a hippie but my dream existence in all honesty would be to live a modest log cabin or cottage in the middle of a forest where i can be close to nature and pretty much lead a self-reliant/survivalist lifestyle. I dont want to win the lottery because i dont need to win the lottery to fulfil my life's ambitions.
I won a fiver on the first scratchcard I ever bought, on my 16th birthday. Never doing it again, I don't want to break my winning streak.
