Square the n on the right side and solve accordingly.

n^2 + n = 110

Oh you never said it was a quadratic equation.. Yeh that's correct that answer

When you square an equation you may generate extra solutions which don't satisfy the original equation.

With this question, when you squared the equation you generated the extra solution n=-11 which can be discounted.

Solution is 10,

I posted my working including 10 and 11 in the same equation.

I thought it was obvious as to which one is the correct answer therefore I clearly didn't state which one was the correct one.

Sorry for any confusion
