Where are you lot looking for your insurance?! I paid £80 for a years insurance on my 125, and £295 for my insurance on my 600!!

One of my mates pays his insurance monthly, he's 17 but with his dad as a 'named rider' and it's his dad account the money comes out of.

09 Street Triple 675 was about £250 with eBiker insurance I think. Fully Comp.

My 125 (hyosung 125 gtr) cost me about 600 to insure when I was 17.

Cheers mate, i'm 23, i am using the motor bike for commuting purposes mainly due to the cost of fuel when driving. I currently cycle to work at the moment

I've decided to go 3rd party for my first year then switch to fully comp after i have a years riding experience, hopefully that will make the quotes i get next year a little cheaper!

How much is Third Party, Fire and Theft?

125s are high risk for theft so you may want to get that covered. Obviously depends on the price difference though. If it's a lot then i wouldn;t worry too much.

Ugsywoo's insurance was £250 his first year, but I am a lot older than you.

I have recently used go compare to find out how much insurance would be for me, and the cheapest price came back at £1259.00 and that is only for TPFT, not fully comp i was wondering if this is a normal price? I have already purchased the bike it is a Honda CB 125 F its a 2015 model. Thanks for any assistance anyone can give me.

There is no such thing as a "normal price" when it comes to insurance. If that's what you've been quoted, that's what you've been quoted.

Ah, apologies - I was sharing @Motorbiker's wisdom from this thread. Is it not like car insurance where different providers will share different quotes for the same set of circumstances?

That site is a comparison site which I always found got me the cheapest price anyway.
