The Student Room Group

Parents

Don't know if this is the right place to post this, but i really need some advice. I argue with my mum seriously all the time & she saw my cwg from college & says I'm stupid & that I dont work at college (which isnt true) I'm just fed up of her, we argue all the time about my dad (who doesnt livewith us) cos she doesnt want me seeing him. I wana move out from home cos I konw its only like 6 months till I go away to Uni, but I cant take it any more. What do you think I should do? how do I go about looking for a house & how do I pay for bills & stuff? cos I'm a student the only money I have is EMA

:hugs: Before you move out, have you tried counselling? LEaving home sounds a bit drastic if you're heading to uni in 6 months anyway, and when you're not living under each other's feet the whole time you may get on better. All I can promise you is that if you move out now you'll probably end up fighting for the rest of your lives . Why not see if you can get it sorted?

Besides, rather than renting your own place, why not see of you can move in with a friend or some relatives? It'd be a short term solution, and cheaper than going solo.

Its only 6 months away, grin and bear it. Getting your own house now would be so difficult you wouldn't believe.
whats cwg? course work grades??
Have you tried talking to her and telling her you dont like to argue and dont want to anymore and that you're trying your hardest at college.

Not too mention expensive, when I bought my place the fleecing b**tards wanted nearly £2500 in fees alone. Even if you rent its still very expensive and a lot of hassle.
