Can you get a clear brace at all for your teeth and if so how much roughly do you have to pay. My teeth arent that bad would like them to be really straight. thanks in advance xXx:smile:

I doubt it. You can have it done discreetly but it will never be invisible. Sadly it's the price you have to pay for perfect teeth

Edit: If there's nothing wrong with your teeth anyway, don't put yourself through the pain of having a brace. It's not a pleasant experience, I tells ya.
I dont see whats wrong with your teeth in the first place :p:

I've only just realised this is the same girl who posted asking if she is attractive. The vanity of some people...

to be honest, if they are good enough for you to put up with ,then i wouldn't bother. it will cost too much and be too much hastle just to straighten them up a tad.. they would probably just move back anyway (if they aren't going to move that much) after the brace had been taken off...

meh. my opinion anyway.

and no, you can't get clear braces.. they are metal (which you can always see) and then the wire is also metal.. the only thing that isn't metal are the elasticy type bands they put on to make your teeth move.. yo ucan get them clear, but they will probably jsut go yellow unless you eat the right type of food..

i know you can get ones on the back of your teeth, but you would probably be able to see them too.

I think it depends on what work you need doing and how much money you have to spare. Famous people tend to have clear braces; I vaguely remember that Tom Cruise had one, so if you do a google image search you might be able to find some close-ups (horrible as that may be) and see what one is like.

If you were in need of a brace, wouldn't your dentist have recommended you have one? Do you play a brass/wind instrument? Especially brass...remember that having a brace is likely to spoil your playing if you do.
Yes you can get invisible braces (and they are removable) - "Invisalign" or "Clearstep".

Alternatively you can get procelain brackets for fixed braces.
Generally the cost of braces will eventually be in the four figure region.

I had a clear plastic brace over my bottom teeth but you only really get them after you've had train tracks (which I don't think you can have clear). Its just a retainer to make sure your teeth don't move back after they've been straightened. The clear ones don't straighten your teeth, just hold them in the same place.
That's not true the clear ones *DO* straighten teeth. The OP would be better off talking to an orthodontist that does both fixed and removable braces.

Can you please only use the anonymous feature for genuine purposes please. I can't see why a lot of the anon posts on here need to be.

Why does it matter anyway though? Just wondered.

I think you can get clear braces though they probably cost loads.
I had semi-clear braces, and as my problem was minor, I couldn't go on the NHS. It cost me £4,500 to go privately in London...
