Weight loss

Hey,

I'm 11 stone and I'm quite overweight, so I want to lose some weight. I think my ideal weight is maybe 9 1/2 stone but I want to be about 8 stone I think, because I've got a small frame (and I looked a bit too curvy when I was 9 stone).

Anyway, so I want to lose either 1 1/2 or 3 stone. Is it possible to lose 1 1/2 stone in a month? And is it possible to lose 3 stone in 3 months?

Thanks!

yes, but not a very good idea.

It is possible..but it would be a very rapid weightloss for you, and it's very likely you'll put it all back on. Take it slowly, and you'll see lasting results.
Try EMI belt.

gradual weightloss, possibly achieved in 6 months - a year is much healthier for many reasons:

1) your skin has time to adapt, so it doesnt just lose elasticity
2) your body isn't seriously deprived of some basic nutrients
3) it is more likely that muscle tissue will not be lost, so you wont feel as weak
4) it is more likely to be permanent. losing weight quickly does not give time to your metabolism to adapt, and when you start eating again, you'll get it back
5) diets of "i want to lose a lot in a short time" usually end either in the person giving up after a week or the person starting to fall into an eating disorder

the best advice i can tell you is, dont worry, take it slow, and be patient. you'll be sursprised how good it can make you feel
i once lost half a stone in a week and a day, which i thought was quite good. i may have done better another time but i daren't weigh myself anymore. try to not eat sweets. in fact, just imagine they don't exist and when you see other people eating them just stay strong and dont go there. you will only regret it later. dont eat bread or if you do, dont eat it with rubbish on it (like jam or cheese) dont eat crisps and jut eat fruit and veg but not to much. eat your meals also but just becuase you have that much on your plate doesn't mean you need to eat it all! :p:

dont tell anyone you are on a diet, the extra pressure is bad and some people are quite patronising aand r like "you dont need to" which is really off putting. drink only water and maybe fruit juice.

but make sure you really need to diet? you could just be being self conscious. remember that everyone is their worst critic! haha! good luck and dont do it unless you really need to!

yer its the same with me, ive got quite a small frame, so although im not "overweight"( im bout 9 1/2 stone) quite a lot of it is fat. Im now aiming to lose about a stone in fat, and hopefully to tone up a bit, but im taking it slowly. Im going to the gym bout 4/5 times a week (only just started couple weeks ago) and im trying to eat more healthily- cutting out like chocolate and crisps)! ive lost about 2 pounds so far, so its working slowly, but i think thats the only healthy way to do it. I still wanna keep my curves tho, so i think ill prob take it easy once ive toned up a bit. i think a pound a week is a realistic target
oh and if ur gnna be serious about it, make sure u drink a LOT of water, its a lot more important than u think, cos ur metabolism shuts down if u dont rehydrate, so u wont lose ne weight. so make sure u drink plenty:rolleyes:
Good luck!!!( to both of us)

Okay well I worked it out, it's about 3lbs a week and that will take me 14 weeks (well just less since I am 10 st 13). Is that possible? Since I'm quite fat I think I'll lose more weight to start with??

Oh btw good luck Sarah, I'm sure you look fine, I wish I was 9 1/2 stone but I'm glad someone knows what I mean! Most of my friends are really skinny and toned but do no exercise, I'm really jealous!

Try EMI belt.

those things have a better chance of causing an orgasm than they do helping someone lose weight in the slightest way.
