House of Fraser Interview?

Okay, I've been invited to the first round of the audition process to become a 'Sales Adviser & Brand Specialist for Fashion Accessories' at House of Fraser. The email requested for me to 'dress to impress'. I was thinking of wearing a denim shirt, beige chinos and boat shoes, but will this suffice? Also, what other ways will I be able to impress the interviewers? Do I need to do my homework and research particular brands? What do I have to do in order to convince the employers that I am the suitable candidate for the position? I've had very limited work experience and no experience in Retail, but I have emphasised that I am eager to gain more skills and experience. I really don't want to go job-hunting again because I'm getting tired of the same old rejections.

Hey!

Hey guys, I have been invited to the first round group auditions for sales advisor at House of Fraser, and the dress code is : Dress to impress, demonstrating your natural style and individuality!
Do you wear smart work clothes, or something more casual that is your natural style? It does also say (Please remember that this is an interview and jeans/trainers/hooded tops are not permitted)
Any Ideas?

Hi everyone I has an Interview on the 6th and for the job today. There's two interviews. One group interview where your split into smaller groups of about 5. They ask you to fill out a few forms then they give you 3 bags and you and your group have to decide the type of person the bag would suit what lifestyle they would live, their age etc. that lasted around 20 mins then They tell you they will contact you the next day of you've been successful for a second interview. If you are, you come back for a role play with a member of staff on the shop floor and they give you a scenario and you have to act like you work there and are selling something to a real customer. After that you have a one on one interview where thy ask basic customer service questions, what you know about house of Fraser and work experience etc! They called me 5 days later to say I had the job. I'd advise you to just be yourself in the group interview don't try and be too loud and in the one on one be friendly and smiley and don't act nervous! Hope this helps and good luck

Hey,

I was wondering whether the process for all the group assessments are exactly the same? I haven't attended an interview of this sort before, and I was also wondering, if they ever ask me how I would prevent "sale loss", how would I answer that? Any idea on what that could mean??
I'm quite lost as I have the auditions in a few days, and I am not sure how the group assessment will be. I have read through this thread, but I'm still a little nervous facing up to something like this, LOL it seems like a long process!

Is your group assessment with House of Fraser? If so which department if you know? and they will not ask you anything to do with sale loss in the group interview but you may get asked in the one to one interview if you reach that stage. But if they do, you can prevent stock loss by:
1. Making sure you monitor blind spots and any vunerable areas.
2. Observing customer behaviour
3. Use fitting room disc systems and check fitting room after each customer leaves.
4. Handle every product with care

What sort of questions did you decide to ask? I read on another thread that you have to present to interviewers and the other groups. Is this true? Also what branch was your interview at
