I got a letter also and I think I'll be doing it... mainly for the chance of winning £3000.

Yep, my school's forcing me to do it.
I'm doing it - the sample questions on the website seem OK and it sounds quite fun... um..yes.

It's a pilot scheme, so while we get to see our results, it will have no effect on uni applications. At the moment it's just a research study. Several unis are taking part and if you applied to them you may have been selected to take part.
Ok, since i havnt heard anything about it, should i just assume i wasnt selected to take part?
It's like a trial run for an aptitude test for uni applicants and they've picked random (I think) people who applied to a certain list of unis to take it, if you want to.

It's probably best to assume that. It's nothing important though so you're not missing out on anything.

Well it is, but the headmaster is insisting on it. Declining isn't particularly advisable in this kind of situation. Oh well, it's not too bad anyway...
My school isn't forcing us to do it, but I think I'm going to do it to prove that I'm better than everybody else

My school are intent on skewing the results by doing the tests very badly - we couldn't face the guilt in making getting into University any harder and more rigourous for those in successive years, so sabotage seemed the best option  ...on the other hand we probably won't be allowed to do this.

Even if you did, it's unlikely one school is significant enough to skew the results . It seems there are many, many students doing uniTEST throughout the country (and perhaps internationally?) so sabotage won't work. Unless of course, we unite as one big student body and plan something

Strap on a pair - I got suspended today because I was arguing with the daft cow that is our librarian.

Actually, come to think of it, I don't blame you for towing the line.

I personally don't reckon its worth it - doing a two and a half hour test for an extremely small chance of winning £3000.
