i'm always lethargic...i think it's depression combined with lack of sleep

sleep earlier, wake up later.
I'm like that, for the past few weeks I get up, go to uni then come back and nap. I have to, even though I'm still tired afterwards
I had depression in the past and this made me sleepy a lot so maybe it's that? Depends how you are feeling, maybe your lacking iron etc

I wish it was a clear cut as that. This has been going on for what, 3/4 years now and it's starting to get worse... I have reached the stage where I rather go asleep than doing coursework with the final deadline the following day. If this keeps up for any longer, I'm basically going to fail my course.
i am exactly the same. i have so much work at the moment with essays and coursework but dont have any energy to actually do it despite it being due in very very soon. have you thought of going to see your GP who should be ble to help find ou what is causing the problems so you can sort it out before it gets any worse. oh and ive also had it or a couple of years too!!
im the same but wi me i think its just laziness, being a student bum and all that, lol....but have u got any other symptoms? diziness? peeing alot? etc, constant tiredness can be a sign of diabetes along with other symptoms as well obviously

I guess I should, but I hate the feeling of needing someone elses help. Thats why I hate going to the doctors and the hospital...

you're probably lacking something from your diet. also i find that i get that way if i sleep too much... like i feel much better if i sleep about 6 hours than if i sleep more. when i do i just wanna nap. it sounds a bit weird i know.. but friends have told me they get that too...

I doubt it is diabetes because I have donated blood twice before, if I was diabetic wouldn't they have picked up on this?
yeah i really hate the doctors as well. i haven't been for about 8 years despite the need to go. i just hate it for some reason. i would rather suffer in pain then see a doctor (which is often what i do)
I spent the majority of my late teen years constantly fatigued. I too, was concerned that it might be M.E but I think it's more to do with lifestlye and diet. If you go to sleep past one or two am the body doesn't get enough 'good' sleep associated with the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) stages. The same problem is caused by alcohol. Thus, if you have consumed a fair amount of booze and/or gone to bed in the small hours, you will not wake feeling refreshed, even if you get say, ten or eleven hours sleep and don't get up until eleven or so the next morning! I always find that if I wake up very late I feel crappily fatigued and seriously lacking energy.

Also, I started exercising regularly, (an hour of swimming 3-5 times p/w) and found that my energy levels soared. As little as 30 mins of exercise 5 times p/w is enough to get those endorphines pumping. It was also suggested that I take multi vitamins (they are cheap enough in Boots) which contain all the essential vitamins (plus iron) you may be lacking. Also try to include more oily fish and spinach in your diet for added protein and iron.

The obvious problem is that you are simply not getting enough sleep! I read that teenagers need more sleep than any other age group, so maybe try going to bed before eleven at least a couple of nights a week.

Good luck (and sleep tight!).
The thing is that i do get at least 8 hours sleep usually a night but i am still tired!
Different ppl need different amounts of sleep. Some manage perfectly well on 6 or 7 whilst others need at least 9 to function!!

This I definitly need to do.

I've felt like that, but that's because I have been working solid on a piece of work for a few days now. Its a mixture of work, not enough hours in the day and fitting in a good amount of nutrients etc. Life.
