i've read it somewhere that deja vu's usually happen when there's a sudden emotional change after many many months...

are you suddenly feeling happy from being sad for a long while?

are you suddenly feeling sad from being happy for a long while?

what i've heard from a pseudo-science books (i know they're crap, but something helpful if you're religious)... that a great emotional change leaves an "imprint" of your soul wherever you're at... and this *somehow* relates with deja-vu's (i forgot exactly how)...

but i think they're perfectly fine, and though i'm not very religious, i sometimes tend to believe my future is determined too...

last time i had deja vu's, there were REALLY long ones... almost a DAY long... it was almost like i could predict whats gonna happen tomorrow

Neither - kind of from kind of depressed (wrong word - like you lost hope) to being positive - a girl I like was in a relationship but she's single. though I am back to losing hope again as there is no chance I'll be with her. :frown:

No I am not religious.

I dont know all the technical stuff but its normal dont worry, its just when something triggers a memory you had forgotten!

There's a glitch in the Ma...

Actually, no.

I wouldn't worry too much. There's not much scientific explanation I don't think. I always feel as though they're linked to dreams though somehow.

yeah whenever I get deja vu it's over a dream I've had already

This is what i heard: when you are tired, your brain accidently sends the information from your senses to the memory so it gives you the impression you have done something before.

They always really freak me out. I'm convinced it just a glitch or something and that i didnt actually know/think it would happen i just somehow convinced myself it did.

ever heard of dreams coming true? lol...

Reply 9

I get it a lot. It's freaky sometimes.

i heard that deja vu's happen when the memory part of the brain processes what you see as well as the normal part. this means that you think you have seen it before but in actual fact you havent.

Yeah they happen quite regularly - I got one in school today during a lesson and I just stared at my friend totally dazed!! It's not as if it was *about* anything though, they're so weird yet so cool hehe!

Exactly what I get. I'll have a completely random dream where I usually don't know the people in it or the place where it happens, but then after a while (weeks, months, years..it varies) the same thing will happen in real life. Usually it's not a major event or anything but it's still quite weird.

I am getting deja vu's every now and then; why does this happen?

It feels as if my life is already 'determined'.:frown:

According to my lovely doctor friend, deja vu is perfectly normal and occurs around once a month. Any more frequently and you may have a problem (I get it every few days - apparently I need to see my GP). I'm not sure what it is, but its when your brain convinces you that you have seen something or been somewhere before, when in fact you have not. Its an illusion. But dont worry, as long as it is not too frequently, you are perfectly normal.
