The odds seem to be reversed on last years race. Last year Oxford were 8/15 favourites with Cambridge 11/8, and now it's the other way round! I think I'll put a tenner on Oxford to make it more interesting.

It's 150-1 for a dead heat, by the way...tempting isn't it?
I'm warning you Tabs, if you win this year there'll be hell to pay.

Indeed, we've already visited Hell and put down a deposit. The Devil drives a hard bargain.

Yes, I can. I'm sure that they're all cardiovascularly (??) very fit, but I've seen nicer college rowers

Yes, the boy and I are going to Henley as well as the main one. Just hope this almost-nice weather holds.

Well, weather-depending I'll be in my Clare splashtop (black with yellow writing) and scarf or some form of Clare kit, he may or may not be wearing hideous amounts of red. Of course, it would be dangerous to mingle too much with the enemy...

Dream on. He wouldn't dare try. *Looks big and scary* Although this is possibly the only weekend in the year when we wouldn't rather be at Oxford :p:

Good luck dude, we'll be cheering for you! Unfortunately, I can't come to the party afterwards, so your blazer is safe from me, at least

And yet that doesn't stop people singing it... Anyway, I'd rather be at Oxford next year than at Johns.

Well, bad things happen when I sing it. Or rather, good things don't happen.

And for once it can't hurt to have some loyalty to the university, even if it does include some less-savoury colleges :p:

Well, I've decided that when I talk to Cambridge students I will claim to support Oxford, and when I talk to Oxford students I will claim to support Cambridge. This will create maximum potential for argument, and I enjoy arguing, especially when it's a lost cause.

And if you are, why not take in the varsity football at Craven Cottage (about a mile up from the boat race start), k.o. 1pm. Tickets available from Fulham FC - www.fulhamfc.co.uk
