Feminine guys - What do girls think?
I met this guy who is lovely, really good looking etc etc, but his voice is quite high and he's quite effeminate. I think it's this which has made me see him as nothing more than a friend though he wants more.

Each to their own...if he is comfortable with the way he is, then good for him. If YOU like him, then you shouldnt let his manner bother you. Think hard a minute. Are you afraid of what other people think, more than what you think?

I suppose feminine guys are how I would view more masculine women - no problem with socialising with them, but attraction would be more difficult. I don't act particularly camp, in fact not at all but I am effeminate in my nature (softer/more caring/converse more with girls, etc) - in what ways would girls/women tend to view this?
I think effeminate guys are very sweet.

that's not to say i couldn't fall for an effeminate guy (though it does seem a bit far fetched..) just that in general the stereotypical connotations of a feminine guy are not those which particularly attract me.

It's the opposite here - the effeminate guys are ignored, and the girls all swoon over the dominant and muscular guys...

I hate macho men who think they have to walk on the outside of the pavement 'to protect their girlfriends,' and stare out any guy who looks at her! Big muscles = turn off for me, long hair = turn on!
My boyfriend is a leeeetle effeminate - he has dreads (washed!) down to his shoulders, which sometimes he ties in bunches (yum!), and prefers to talk about feelings, music and our relationship more than sport! Which is lucky for me coz I fail to see the attraction of football.
