No but I have my date - 26 April. Is anyone else out there going then or in the near future? I met another candidate in Jan but he failed.

... but he would have asked "when were you born" and "how old are you in years and completed months," those being that standard questions to open any RAF interview...

Well, I'm back. It was nowhere near as bad as I thought. Boarding officers were pretty nice actually and very fair. If anyone wants advice, e mail me here and I'll try my best to help you. command tasks are a b***ger though! Will let you know if I get in when i hear!

Did you go on April 26th? I was meant to go on the 27th but it's been postponed unitl June 22nd, so just be glad you've got it done! Would love to hear about the command exercises, I guess they are pretty difficult to try and prepare for.

The command tasks are supposed to test you but are supposed to be fun aswell. In our group we made the boarding officers laugh a bit but we still got the tasks done as much as possible. Obviously you need to concentrate on the task given to you but don't have a massive panic attack and start screaming at everyone if you're not sure how to solve it. Often, your team-members will try and help you out as much as they can and will probably suggest ideas. Main thing is make sure when you are leader it is visible that you are in charge. And when you are part of the team contribute as much as possible, be enthusiastic but don't take over from your leader. I loved the command tasks though and had a really good time which I think reflected well to the officers.
