How is everyone with crosswords? I can get most of the clues in tabloid quick ones, and I can on a good day get about 1/2 - 2/3 of the Times 2 quick crossword. I've completed it once with one or two lookups.

however, I have difficulty with Cryptic ones... I can barely (if ever) get one clue! maybe some x-word genius can post some tips below....?

There is definitely a knack to the cryptic crosswords. Do one with sum1 who knows how and you'll pick up on the conventions etc, and should be able to get a few. It is however, only a very sharp mind that will ever be able to complete a times crosswork without help.

Take a look at Pretty Girl in Crimson Rose by Sandy Balfour and The Complete Crossword Companion.
