WHat do you mean "why".

I will have three cats and those three names are good cat names. Does the why refer to - why cats? or -why those names? or - why three?

I think that Romeo and Juliet has the best names:

Romeo,
Juliet,
Benvolio,
Mercutio,
Tybalt,
Paris,
Gregory,
Sampson.

Its sad tho, theres only one girls name in all o those names!!!

The Tempest has some good ones too!

Alonso
Prospero
Ferdinand
Gonzalo
Caliban
Trinculo
Stephano
Miranda
Ariel

I've read four renaissance tragedies this week and four last week and I am so utterly confused by all the names - thay are all Italian and so similar. I have at least 80 Italian names floating around in my head and muddling together. ARGH!

macavity because of this poem:

and the other two because, well they just sound like good names for a pair of naughty cats.

What do you want to call your kids when you have them? I saw in a magazine the other day a girl called Rimini and i thought that was sooooo sweet!!! About a year or two ago I used to want to call a girl Cacharel after the perfume!!! how young and stupid.
All I know is that I don't want my children having common (as in most-used) names like James or Sarah, although those are quite nice names.
Chloe, Eve, Ophelia, Ben, Dominic

I wish my cat was as naughty!

I also like it because it's SO different to some of T.S.Eliot's other poems (the waste land, four quartets for example)

I've always liked Jack for a boy, don't have a clue about girls though, but it doesn't really matter because I don't intend to ever have children! My mum reckons that you can match a child to a personality by their name. Apparently Josh's whinge, and Lewis' are little horrors etc.

I'm not keen on names that are fashionable at a particular time, like Britney, or Kylie, because 10 years down the track the people they're named after will be washed up and the poor kid will be stuck with a daft name and be teased for the rest of their lives!
