waking up in the night

Ive been nocturnal for months now but only cause I can't sleep at night, for example I'l go to bed at 11 pm and wake up at say 2.30/3.00 am and then can't get to sleep for the rest of the night, so I'l stay up all the next day and the same will happen. I just can't get back to sleep once I wake up. Is anyone like this?

i had a sort of opposite problem where id go to sleep at 3am then wake up at 8pm and sleep at 3am again. soon after though (about a month of it) i got really ill and started normal sleeping patterns! my problem was that i had things on my mind, and it seemed like my thinking time was late at night. do you have a lot on your mind and think about it late at night? or are you genuinely not tired? if you really want to sleep but cant, i suggest going to a doctor to get some pills etc good luck xoxox

try takin nytol or natrasleep - i work in a chemist and those are apparantly quite good. Although have the stronger one-a-night nytol cos the two-a-night dont really work!

Er, the one a night tablets contain 50mg of diphenhydramine, and the two a night contain 25mg a piece, in other words, 50mg. They're equally effective, but the one a day is better value for money.

At any rate, I wouldn't particularly recommend habitually abusing sleeping drugs for problems that probably have more to do with quality of sleep than any real insomnia.

Yeah, although I've never used sleeping tablets (maybe I should) but they are a good solution. Also, don't eat too near bed time. Try reading or watching tv at sleep time.
