Pms

I'm suffering really badly. I'm crying for no reason, I'm shouting at my best friends and pushing them away. I know its the hormones, I know I've always been completely rubbish at controlling them, I have no idea how to stop myself feeling so angry over so little. I'm going to end up alone if I keep getting so nasty once a month.

So, advice on how to help it? I'm already on the pill, mum thought that might help. At first it did, only now it doesn't. (I have had to change them though). What else helps?!
Chocolate always helps me! Mmm a nice big bar to feel much better. When i'm moody i usually just go to my room and lock the door and keep to myself for a couple of hours. I calm down eventually and its good to have some 'me' time once in a while.

Chocolate seems to have a negative effect on me. I tned to wake up thinking "I'm fat" because I feel so bloated from it, and that puts me in a worse mood and... Yeah. Solves the PMS moods, just creates whole new ones!

i hate that when one thing stops something but creates something else

you know there are PMS clinics at the hospital and stuff? I'm enrolled onto a psychology study atm about PMS, means I have to keep daily mood charts etc...but yeah, there is plenty of support out there which will tell you how to deal with it most effectively..

I don't know, my dear. But chocolate's a good idea. I'm REALLY snappy too when it's PMS time...and I cry over the littlest things. Hate it, but oh well. Might be that I have better control though...cos I don't snap at my friends TOO much...nor my family. Chocolate...and maybe a little more isolation. hehe

Changing from the pill to the injection stopped my periods and thus cured my PMS completely.

Having said that, it can make you bleed more often and once you've had the injection if you get side effects then you're stuck with them until it runs out because you can't just stop taking it like you can the pill. So it's not for everyone.

Funny you should say that! Changing from the injection to the pill cured mine!

I guess everyones different, go see your doc. The only other thing i can recommend is evening primrose oil i always find thats quite good for hormone balance
