I failed the first time for driving too close to parked cars and going over speed bumps too fast.

What a stupid combination to fail on!
1st time = not able to do parallel park on car facing me
2nd time=dodgy right turn on bridge, had a car behind me while I waited for same opening, major hesitancy
3rd time=pulled out infront of a car on the same bridge though it wasnt on that road or moving.
4th time=nothing, passed

looking over my right shoulder TOO LATE when doing my left reverse...... i think i was really unlucky....
i guess its all about luck in the end and the area you take your test in

I failed for the reverse round a corner twice, reverse park once, pulling out when the examiner didn't think i had enough time to and getting confused with where the examiner wanted me to go so wasn't paying attention to the fact that the traffic lights had changed. Sixth time I passed...

1st time - dangerous, drove to close to a parked car. serious, couldn't do my reverse round the corner.

2nd time - serious, pulled out at a rounabout when I shouldnt have done.

3rd time - serious, rolled slightly on hill start.

4th time - serious, pulled out at another roundabout when I shouldn't have done, incidentally, same examiner as test no2.

5th time - panicked doing pp and touched the kerb.

6th time - PASSED!

Don't get to worried about serious/dangerous faults though, just drive like you have been taught.

Drove in the right hand lane of the dual carriageway instead of the left, so annoyed at myself, cos the examiner said if I hadn't done that I wuda passed
Dougie

...how fast were you going...what speed should you go over speed bumps??
i didnt fail, but i did miss the turning at a roundabout, if this happens to you, then keep on going around the roundabout and dont try to change lanes. if you change lanes then you FAIL, if you continue then you dont even get a minor for it!

driving too close to cars, not listening enough to the examiner and driving fast around a corner which i wasn't i failed it twice passed on the third time with the examiner who failed me first time round

Putting the car into 1st when I meant for it to go into reverse, whilst straightening up after parallel park...smooth:cool:

1st test - hit the kerb on reverse round a corner
2nd test - hit the kerb on a parallel park and on reverse round a corner
3rd test - hit the kerb on a three point turn, but in my defence the road was unbelievably narrow and the examiner was a bit of a tosser.
4th test - stalled in 3rd [i still maintain it was 2nd] while overtaking a car transporter which decided it would try to move off while i was halfway across it. And also went round a narrow road under a tunnel that I'd never been down before too wide.
...oh crap; now i'm really starting to get worried about my test...:frown:

I literally failed two seconds before my test culminated.

My 1st attempt I reversed up a curb (in my defense, how often will you parallel park in front of a driveway?)
My second I apparently should have stopped and waited for a pedestrian to cross the road when I was reversing round the corner (I didn't realise I was endangering her life considering I'd finished the manouvre entirely, well before she got to the curb)
My third I hit a roundabout (you think i would have seen it! I was too busy thinking "Don't turn off until you check the mirror" so I turned in instead)
My fourth I was failed because I pulled onto a roundabout in front of a van and he had to brake sharply (not my fault he ran a red light but I got failed for not being psychic)

I finally passed 5th time round. I'd changed instructors for that one and got a pep talk instead of "so when do you want to book your next lesson?" (which had always put a bit of a downer on the mood as it was asked when I was walking in for my tests)

Terrible reversing round a corner. Forgetting to look over my shoulder before driving off again. Terrible bay parking. Erm...yes.
