Compulsory to wear the T-shirt? Also, for dress nights, would it be ok to wear normal clothes instead of costume?

How are you all knowing which townhouse you're in? (:

The T-shirt is only compulsory on one or two nights, such as the big night out. This is because although you will have freshers reps they will be drinking with you meaning your safety is the JCR Execs responsibility. As they won't know every single person it's easier to spot people around town with a t-shirt on. Also the Sugarhouse class the T-shirt as your ticket, so no T-shirt no entry on Thursday.

As for fancy dress, it's not compulsory though freshers week wouldn't be the same without everybody looking like idiots

Any questions just message

You can contact the residences officer via email:
[email protected]

State your Student ID number (from the application portal) and your name.
They will get back to you as soon as they can and give you your house number.

Afraid not - the hoodie is purchasable by everyone fresher or non fresher so it's not identifying you as a fresher to the JCR or The Sugarhouse.

Any questions, pm me

It's not compulsory to attend any of them
Hey, I have a Superior Ensuite but I realised that there is no living room. Do you think there will be less time to socialise with room mates? Is there a social kinda room in the college itself?
Oh and how big do you guys think the beds will be? Single or Super Single?

Single bed.

I was in superior ensuite in first year and we just hung out in each others rooms when we wanted to hang out without going down to the bar.

Kitchens also big enough for when you want to have a bigger gathering.
Thanks  Im really looking forward to it!

Hey guys.
I'm thinking about bringing a friend to freshers week, and I was wondering if that's possible. Would they be able to get into the clubs and bars, and attend all the events?
Any help you can give me about this would be great.

They should be able to come along to some events and pay on the door, but for example the event where you need a freshers t shirt might not be possible. They can go in sugarhouse though as your guest as long as you have a valid purple card

I would recommend buying them a freshers pack as it has bands in it that gain access to the clubs where county events are during freshers week. County is one of the biggest colleges so clubs may refuse entry to those without the appropriate bands or t-shirts. There is no guarantee they can pay on the door. As with the big night out around town bars then to sugar, whilst we go on our own root there are usually 2 other colleges out so sugar tends to reach 'capacity' with freshers/reps/jcr alone all of which will be wearing t-shirts so will probably be refusing entry to those without t-shirts including guests.
