Reaction to a vaccination

I got my second jab for Japanese Encephelitis on Thursday. The first one didn't react at all, but this time I've got a red rash in the area around where they jab was, it's bruised, gone a bit lumpy and it's a bit swollen. Doesn't hurt unless you touch it though... Does anyone know if there's anything to worry about, or why it's gone weird this time considering it didn't with the first one? (Which I had a week before)

are you in a particularly high - risk area?

put some ice on it.

u may be slightly alergic to it, or it might do that anyway:

when i got a jab for TB (the BCG jab) loads of people i knew my age as well as mine had swelling (for at least 2-3 weeks). some got pussy and burst, yup, gross. just see if it goes away or not.

All vaccinations, as with virtually all medicines, carry a long list of side-effects. In this case, rashes, fevers, abdominal pain, nausea, malaise, &c., are all to be expected and fairly common. Obviously if your condition deteriorates and you are hovering between life and death it would be wise to consult a doctor; but until then the best advice is just to get on with it and not worry too much.
