Moving around

This may sound a little silly but everytime I move away from uni to go back home, in the first few days I feel really upset and I really want to go back. I just feel like all the moving around is too much and I just want to stay in one place for good. Does anyone else get this feeling or is it just me?

I hate it, I hate this feeling of having no fixed abode. :frown:

wait until you go to uni, then you won't... you'll want somewhere to stay forever (preferably uni  )

At the moment, the prospect of a 5 week holiday is scaring me. I'm not sure how I'll feel in the summer when we have almost 3 months off. That and there are only 8 weeks of uni left when we go back and I'm really scared about the second year as me and my friends are all splitting up in housing :frown: :frown: :frown: :frown: :frown:

Its always nice to stay in one place, be settled etc, but its not like you're moving around all the time is it?
I know exactly what you mean. I used to get it when I lived away from my parents before and I still get it at uni now. I feel fine when I'm in either place but if I go back to one then the other I feel all lost, upset and "homesick". I don't know what the answer is, I just look forward to the next time I go away!

You're just getting used to most of your life being at uni. That's probably a positive thing. You should be worried if everytime you go to uni, you want to go back home.

Yeah, I guess so, that's a good way of looking at it
