My friend got told from the boy she liked that if she did get her teeth straighten he would never go out with her.

And she likes guys who talk to girls like that?
That's a bit harsh, the not being straight thing isn't too bad, but I can't stand horrible teeth. Like you know yellow, manky, chipped teeth, sick!

Like pretty much anybody who is on trishia seems to have awful teeth, actually makes me feel sick

Would something like that effect you?

Eh? do you not mean if she didn't get her teeth straighten, he wouldn't go out with her?

Anyway, tell that lad to get lost and kiss an elephant's butt.

No, it wouldn't affect me.

Yeah it would affect me to an extent, but what that guy said was rude. She should go for people who aren't so insensetive.
yeah, bad teeth manks your face up- you could be really pretty but like an idiot if you had weird teeth. Saying that though if he was really nice and funny, i would still go out with him. Maybe the boy was just giving her the brush off, and just wanted an excuse, i mean has she manky teeth?
serious narb

Yes. Absolutely. Couldn't kiss someone with bad teeth, people with bad teeth tend not to smile as much as well, and I like smiley people.

Bad = missing, severely yellow, severely decayed, severely wonky, short gums, long gums, drastic over or under bite...

I can handle a bit of scew-wifery and less than perfect white

it sounds like we're not too picky! What would you do if he was really really good-looking but he had really low gums and yellow teeth? i would hint that he had to go to the dentist, and i would go out with him, and you?

Well I already have a boyfriend.. but hypothetically, no I couldn't if they were as you describe. Maybe be friends, get them sorted, then maybe a love interest if they improve

ooooh you are harsh

Yes, I'd have to say teeth are one of the first things I notice about a person, seeing as my mums the manager of a dentists and I've worked there the last few summers I see some pretty manky teeth! I really can't stand bad teeth, one of my exs had bad teeth, and it made me feel ill when I kissed him. Needless to say the relationship didn't last long.
Bad teeth are totally unneccesary in this day and age, all people need to do is brush twice a day, see the dentist regularly and have braces if needed!
If they were just wonky, it wouldn't put me off..

If they were rotten, manky, unbrushed then it would be a personal hygene problem and yes.. eurgh! it would definitely send me packing! (so to speak)...
i just got bad rep of this thread- why? (am i allowed to ask?)

Question- I thought I need a braces cause some of my teeth are wonky but he wouldn't give me one. Is that right?
Pretty Boy
Don't worry about it, I take them as a compliment

what bad teeth or bad rep?
Pretty Boy
lol  bad rep because it shows you're not scared to say what you think and
be real regardless of how others try to inflict their views upon you.

If people didn't post what they really thought because they were scared of getting bad repped then we'd have one big pretentious forum.

Bad reppin someone just shows inadequacy IMO.

My teeth are great, but then I really try to take care of them.

i know what you mean- but i haven't really said anything. my teeth are very straight and nice as well.
