Being asked out...joke or serious?

hey people...so i was sittin in a restaurant with my friends today (im a girl btw)...and this random girl comes up to our table and says...'my friend really likes you...can he have your number?' When people ask someone out via someone else....dya take it seriously or as a joke? Or maybe he was too shy to come to my face...anybody got any ideas :confused:

why not take it seriously, there is no reason why they should be joking

might just be nerves, or he could be really ugly, and didn't want you to see him, or his friend knew that he wanted to ask you out, and was to scared to ask.

ohhh yeaaa totally forgot its april fools...anyway i dont no cz the girl asked me like a few times..wouldnt get of our table lol...i was gettin cranky because i wanted ma foood haha...nooo i lied and said i had a boyfriend already...and then she finally went away
