Yes pressups will build muscle in the area. But muscle is an active tissue and constantly uses energy and therefore burns fat. Buff up in the chest/abdomen area and together with cardio exercise that weight will slip right off and those ugly man breasts will soon be pecs=]

you cant spot reduce fat, it has to come from all over, so more cardio. don't bother doing weight training on your chest, it will only make them appear bigger.

pressups will build next to no muscle, and even if they did the effect it would have on burning calories is minimal.

cardiovascular exercise. quite self-explanatory really.

forget pressups, they wont get the shape of the pectorals that you require.
You need to build the pectorals from underneath and push them up. Decline press is the best way fourth.

Invest in some muscles, it'll increase your metabolism as metioned above (muscles are active tissues blah blah), therefore you'll burn more energy just by sitting down!

But run! run run run run run run run.
