mum putting down too many restrictions?
im 16 and the youngest in my family.
the problem is that lately i think my mum is putting too many restrictions on me, for example she wouldnt let me go and see the red hot chilli peppers gig in coventry (i live in birmingham) even though i had a way how to get home (a lift off on of my friends dad) and she's not keen on me going into my local town centre (Bullring) with my friends on the bus
but the thing that really bugs me is i want a new pair of boots,but i want a pair of goth boots,but she wont let me buy any because they are "inappropriate" or "look vicious" or "hideous"
i feel as though she's picking on me because she doesnt do this to my brother or sister.
is she being unfair or am i just being stupid? and idea of what i should do?

Your the youngest!! I think its because your mum wants to keep you as her little baby for as long as she can. You may be as mature and responsible as your older siblings but in your mum's eyes your still too young to do anything.
My bro has got a similar problem not only with my parents but also with me but its offset by being able to get away with almost anything! I think you should try talking to your mum and reason it with her - your 16 and have a mind of your own.

Hey there, yeah I had to live with a strict mother too.
Fortunately my dad was the opposite
But anyway how about negotiating with your mother when you have a good friend around? Or better yet, a friend of hers that likes you too!
You may find she might see things from your point of view a bit more.
