I have that problem with carbs

You could try healthier snacks that still have some sugar in - e.g. the Go Ahead range and equivalents are good, also some cereal bars (Special K in particular are good - chocolate, yay!). You can also get flavoured rice cakes, the only problem being that rice cakes taste of cardboard :p: Oh, also Snack-a-jacks are surprisingly healthy (not so much sweet, that's more snack food in general). I've lost a couple of stone since the New Year so I promise, just switching to lower-fat snacks does help (unless you're one of those scary people who can live on fruit and veg, but that's not me!).

My mum swears by eating dates when she's craving sugar as they are really sweet but better for you than snacking on sweets or chocolates.

You just need to get yourself to the point when you know you don't need the junk food. Once you start seeing your body changing shape that will make you far happier than any quick indulgence.

My sister has just made a huge batch of chocolate brownies which I am avoiding like the plague. I'm sticking to the thought that me in a bikini NOT looking fat will make me happier than any number of brownies.

you could try eating sweet stuff in moderation. or do what i do which is to take yoghurt and freeze them so that they are kind of like icecream. its sooo good

try low-fat yougarts. i find that tesco do great ones- 19p and you can get toffee/hazlenut flavours. snack-a- jacks are great too- they now do a caramel and chocolate orange one(although the chocolate orange tastes a bit strange).
I find if i crave crisps i eat a savoury rice cake with a bit of low fat cheese and this is almost good enough!

Tesco's also do low fat chocolate mousses - cheap and they taste like chocolate air, you can taste the lack of calories

your probably craving sweet stuff because you dont eat alot of carbohydrates. you may also be dehydrated.

best thing to do, is when you crave something sweet, fix yourself up a bowl of fresh fruit, mangos, papaya, pineapple, grapes, they are sweet and taste very good as well as being a more healthier alternative.

you have four months as a time limit right, i suggest you get some help with diet asap and make sure you do some sort of excercise everyday. everyother day or every other 2 days, excercise to an intensity till you sweat alot, and in between these days, excercise at a moderate intensity which will make you break sweat.

if u can bear it, try not to eat these sweet things. from my potentially misinformed knowledge, i believe its not great to give in.

firstly, it will only make future cravings more likely and stronger.
i also believe that it isnt ideal to ride the buzz of sugarey things - when they run out u get knackered and either eat more or get headaches.
finally, and perhaps most importantly, i think this may be part of the slippery slope to diabetes!

(all the above information is subject to me talking crap. i think i am right, but am not cetain)
