You forgot the B. If you're gonna tease, at least use all the available letters!!

Reply 25

Looks like Barnsley!

Losing lots of brains?

I thought the B was just the Bachelor bit (i know its latin)..in that case you have RD Bsc

Reply 26

Anyway, back to the use of LL.B ...

Reply 27

Be careful with RD it is also the recognised post nominal for the prestigious Reserve Decoration.

Reply 28

All the dietitians at uni use it, so it should be ok!

If in practice I would use it on official correspondence (I have LLB MSc but only use the LLB on legal correspondence), otherwise its a little pretentious! I have been known to use it when dealing with issues like returning faulty or not fit for purpose items bought on ebay but otherwise its for work only (also if you are applying for vacancies. I would use all my letters on my CV and any covering letter but only if the vacancy warrants it!)

If you look in the top right hand corner of a message, there's a date which tells you when the last post was made. Congrats on waking up a 14 year old thread.

If you are putting your post noms on the top of your CV, then recruiters/employers are laughing at you

14 year old thread but no
LLB is not an especially hard or advanced degree lmao
PhD is another matter

I obtained LLB (Hons) 2.1 and I have never used the letters after my name. But I think sometimes, probably it’s useful to use them especially, if you are replying to someone who has placed them or you are writing a legal letter and you intend to make it more powerful!
