Meeting New People

Well? Where the hell do you meet new people (fairly easily) if you're not into the whole club / pub / general chaviness thing. Tis an interesting one you see, the only time I meet new people is when I start somewhere new.. like college. Then the same people remain until the duration has expired and its kinda hard to meet anyone new once they're fixed within their circles. So then, the question remains... where to go!

Pretty obvious but you could maybe join some kind of society or group/team or something, do voluntary work or even arrange to meet people who live near to you on TSR via Pm.

Sports, clubs and that sort of stuff, and work. The best ways to meet people, ever.

I know what you mean. I just left college and am back at home just trying to get a job, there's no opportunity to meet any new people. I'd just try the societies thing if I were you.

if you get a job (if you dont have one already) thats usually a good way to meet people too

the Q that you need to ask is : why when you move to a new place, you tend to meet new people. but once your settled you dont! I dont think the new people stop appearing, it's just that you got used to ur suuroundings ur no longer lseeing them.

I also notice when someone is new, they are smiley and friendly..they shine with energy.. but after a while, they get into the routine...:frown:

keeping friends is really hard, cos it takes effort to talk to them and call them etc. the point is when you meet new people you have to talk to them, not just hi, a proper convosation! and the more you see the person the more they are not just a friends friend
