    hey i am currently doing an experiment in science and this is what i have to do....:-

    1) use 2 copper beakers xactly the same and pour 25ml of hot water in 1 and 75ml of hot water in 1

    2) after 5 mins i will take the temperature of the two

    i would be very grateful if n e 1 will tell me which one they will think will cool the fastest or most or have te lower temperature and why....
    please please help me!!!!

    looking at what's given i think the beaker with 25ml
    will cool down the fastest

    It has less volume of water and therefore less heat energy

    Also the surface area:volume ratio. Ie the 75ml one will have a smaller surface area:volume ratio than the 25ml one, so more surface area for heat loss
