what would you call an obsession? have you ever been obsessed about someone?

I think obsession and addiction are two different things - for the record.

An obsessionis when you can't get someone/something out of your head. Its always there, a little bit in the back of your mind. You dream about it, you daydream about it, every hour, a little bit of your thoughts go on to it.

I think obsessions are fine - as long as they don't become unhealthy.

i've personally not been obsessed but my friend has been obsessed with her extended essay....

I guess I'll call obsession a normal part of human behaviour, as long as it doesn't become OCD (which D. Beckham has apparently btw).
I've been obsessed with stars and celebrities in the past but as I've grown older it becomes less freakish, partly because I'm more realistic. I've also been obsessed with boys that I knew but that's changed now.

i would classify myself as obsessive, not really with people but with things. like im obsessed with wanting to be perfect at some stuff and im obsessed with certain aspects of my character - like wanting to improve things about me that i hate..
i dont think i have ocd though, im not thaaaat bad lol

I unfortunately have an unhealthy obsession with bones I have to say :redface:

. I can stare at the bones that protrude from my boyfriends’ body for hours. I especially obsess about the ones that form his spine as they can be seen the most. It is very unfortunate as this has been an obsession of mine for years and has made me ill in the past as I have made it so I have my bones protrude nastily. Meh you just have to try and not let it overtake your life which is the hardest part.

Obsession is a psychological 'problem' only really becomes a problem if its unhealthy or harms someone etc.

Its very common and can be about anything, just dont start carving this persons name on your chest or something.. mkay?
