Fancying the same person as your friend

there's this guy in my grade who's really cute and somewhat shy when it comes to girls. i used to fancy him before but it's been ages since i fancied him. then suddenly, several weeks ago, i've started taking a fancy in him again.
the problem is, there's this friend of mine who fancies him as well and i don't want to jeopardize our friendship just because we fancy the same guy. i really don't know what i should be doing. should i make a move or not?
should i tell the guy that i fancy him? now that's the other problem. i'm not the type of person who can casually walk right up to a guy and talk to them. in other words, i'm a shy person. and on top of that, i barely talk to the guy that i fancy in school and even online. now this problem of mine is starting to frustrate me because school's going to officially end in a few days and then we're going to take an important exam and graduate. i really don't know what to do. i mean i should be focusing on studying for my exam but this problem has been on my mine these past few days.
please help me. i really, really need some advice.

if shes a good friend then u probly should leave it. saying that why dont you just talk to your mate about it? just make sure she knows how u feel

Talk to your friend about it, i'm sure she'll understand.

This has happened so many times with me and one of my friends, were just so similar, me even have the same taste and outlook on relationships as eachother. Everytime it happens, we always decide, its no problem and if he does like one of us then so be it, the other friend cant change that.

Talk to your friend, then make a move on him.

I was in the same situation, and I thought the guy liked my mate but apparently he liked me! He made the first move and I didn't say no to him.. the other girl was only my mate since 1 week or somethin but we were quiet close. She was a little upset but in the end happy for me :biggrin:

Us three were just hanging around together.

Another time me and my mate liked the same guy again, but since the girl is my best friend I let her have him, especially since she looked like she liked him more than me. However in the end neither of us won him over.. hehe :biggrin:
