Starting??? Hmmm... I thought girls had so many formulas for that like 'Are you Henry's friend William?' or 'Carry this, whats-your-name' or 'Have you see Hannah?' or 'Beastly professor, don't you think?' or they're terribly clever and just get in the way so that he HAS to say sorry and stop and helpand talk. Well?

well... thats not the case for me. I'm finding it very hard to start. i no i should just be able to go up and talk to him but... well as i said he's nearly always with a group of friends, well sometimes just one of them but its even harder now cos he knows that i like him so if i start talking to him he's gonna realise. but all as i said, all i would like is to just be able to talk to him like i do with other friends, cos he does seem such a nice guy...

Aha, the friends-all-around-him thing. How did Harry Potter do it? I forget. I think that you should just be bluff about the whole thing, blow-overish, you know, as if its all the most hilarious thing you've ever heard that you could like him. Perhaps he would even think 'Oh, she's not easily persuaded', then he might make an effort which would be rather fun for you.

When I wanted to meet a girl who ended up being my girlfriend, I made friends with all of her friends first, which was uncomplicated, and then we became friends and then it was easier for things to get going.

You sound far too self-conscious, Anonymous, stop worrying about what they all think of you, you're not on television its plain conversation!

hmm the harry potter thing lol.
and yes i guess i am too self-concious, and i guess i do worry about it too much. after all he knows that i like him so really it lies with him, but if he has got a gf then he's not likely to do anything.
but i am tempted to sort of drop in a conversation somehow... which will prove to be very hard

Depends how much you like him.
Do you like him enough to give it a shot and risk he's kidding?
I would just go for it from a guy's point of view even if he does not like you he will respect you for talking to him about it and confidence is always a turn on

Well now we have 2 weeks off, so that will mean i wont see him for 2 weeks, so i guess that the whole thing might wear off as at the moment i dont think im gonna get anywhere with it, after all im still respecting that what he said is true. but i think that the best plan now is to see how i feel when we return to college and maybe i could just talk to him kind of...
