From my understanding of Arabic, it cannot be translated verbatim from English, without knowing how your name is pronounced.

Care to confirm that linguist786?

yes, i'm taking that into account! that's why i was asking everyone how their name was pronounced on the hindi thread! Arabic's the same, it's all very phonetic.
i would've asked if i didn't know how the names were pronounced.

lol thanx.
i know Urdu, Hindi, Gujarati, French and German (last two obviously not fluently!). Bits of Spanish, Swahili...erm... Niyanja (a language spoken in Zambia). That's it really.
Oh by the way - i don't actually speak Arabic. i do know bits of it though, and how it all works and stuff. i am literate in it because of the Qur'an (it's in Arabic you see)
