In my opinion it is if you go www.lacoste.com and click UK flag a picture comes up and if you count the teeth and look at the tail, they look slightly different.
The crocodile stitching doesn't look particularly high quality... but that's almost irrelevent compared to the question: why did you buy a lacoste tracksuit?

Yeah...ok

go to www.lacoste.com --> uk flag --> "Discover The Lacoste Polo With Andy" (the pic of the croc) --> The crocodile = a pic...you'll see the nose and eye of the croc are different...

I bought a lacoste tracksuit on ebay for ยฃ31.00. This is the logo on it, do you think it looks fake?

Thanks

It's only a slight difference, it's not as bad as the fake 'Von Dutch' brand, 'Von Bitch', or something like that. I wouldn't worry about it... as long as the quality of the actual clothing is good, only you will know! But then it depends if you want to argue it - if the seller stated it is genuine when it is in fact fake you can report them to eBay.

Did it come with tags?

Yes it was quoted as being 100% geniune and it has all the tags on it. 'the selected lacoste distribution network' it says on the back of the tags :/ never seen that before. Quality seems ok...

I just checked with the one Lacoste item I've got - a polo shirt. Now, the tag is identical. And I'm 100% sure that mine is genuine. It was in the Lacoste section of NK (Nordiska Kompaniet, www.nk.se) - Sweden's most famous and highly regarded store. Also, my shirt has the proper "Mother of pearl" buttons, has "Devanlay" printed on the wash tag - both two very strong indicators of authenticy. I did some searching on the net, it seems that the logo on your track suit and my Polo shirt indicates that they've been made in Peru - to where Lacoste has outsourced some of its production. In fact, most of the shirts are now being made in Peru. Though there's a huge difference in quality between the ones made for American/European markets and Asian.

So, in conclusion, the tag does not indicate it's fake, it could still be fake though.

Well considering you got a whole tracksuit for just ยฃ31 then my best guess would be that it is fake.
I have 4 Lacoste polo shirts which I got from the proper Lacoste shop and they are ยฃ60 for one shirt - so if your getting a tracksuit for ยฃ31 and a polo shirt costs ยฃ60, then its most likely going to be fake.
