Courgette, i like them roasted
Gherkins are horrible, i always used to pick them out of burgers when i used to eat in BK or McDs...

Gherkins are way better than Courgettes, I hate Courgettes and when I see them in my food I want to cry because I have to pick them all out when I should be eating.

Tis a cucumber, a couple i know grow them like that in their garden in Suffolk...some actually come out as big as marrows!

So if a courgette is a cucumber, I'm going to assume that a gherkin is a pickle ... right? I'm going with other, just because of my confusion.

Good lord, I was 15 when this thread was started....

I hate gherkins and pickles of any kind. Love courgettes but only when they are still small and crisp, don't care for marrows. Butternut squash is the best of all.
