Does anyone remember Sunset Beach?

Who remembers this show? Wild, wacky plots, rubbish plots, but it was so addictive! Annie, the crazy redhead, the Ben and Meg saga, Olivia and her baby by Cole but was raising as Gregory's, the infamous turkey baster episode! Crappy tv, especially looking back at it now, but at the time it was so addictive! Why?

Yeaaaaaaaa! It was classic! That Ben dude was a fake Pierce Brosnan! Ahhh the memories of Cole, Olivia and Caitlin.

Classic Show. Great, although when I saw it recently, I was shocked at how crap the acting was! Also, the whole show in general!

woo i loved that show sooooooooooooo much.
it was so cheesy and the actingwas sooo bad but thats what made it great :biggrin:

i used tio watch it everyweek when it first came on but i missed trhe last two episodes that it ended with :frown:

i wanna watch them all again from the start

LOL! I remember that, I was like 10 when it was on. I can’t believe people watched that show seriously, does anyone remember some of the story lines?
Like, the woman (Olivia) that stole her daughters’ kid and we weren’t sure if it was Cole's for like a year. Oh and when that woman some how artificially inseminated another woman while drugging her- somehow- she wasn’t even a doctor.

All I remember is Virginia or Vanessa or somebody like that.

I think there was an episode which was really freaky, because some dead woman came back - or maybe that was my own hallucinations due to being 7 years old and not understanding the non-existent plot...

Yes, I used to watch this programme religiously. I was 13 years old, but I remember it well. It used to come on Channel 5 at 10.00am- when I was at school- but I used to watch the omnibus on Saturdays (all 5 hours of it). Everyone used to talk about the programme!

I remember, me and momma used to watch it, it had Russel from Invasion in it. We still make jokes about their names now, Tea-Trey and Cole-bunker hahaha

Who could forget...

i remember Virginia got vanessa pregnant with some other doctors baby while vanessa was going out with micheal (what an jealous bitch Virginia was)
but get this....the way she got vanessa pregnant was by stealing some doctors sperm (who was a friend of all 3 of them and he happened to fancy vannesa but vanessa was with micheal anyway) and i think she put something in vanessa drink to make knock her out for a while then she got her pregnant by using a turkey baster :biggrin:

what a classic!! my god the problems that caused i think they did find out out wasnt micheal baby cant remember :frown:

It really was only good though because it was SO bad :p:

Probably my favourite thing about the programme was that you could miss weeks and still understand what was going on. I guess this was largely because not a lot happend every episode. :rolleyes:

So many "nearly" moments where someone looked like they were definitely busted and then miraculously the other character never heard their telephone call (despite being sat right next to them) or whatever. Still addictive viewing though :redface:

This was a fantastic show.. purely because it was so bad. Even the Bold and the Beautiful was better. Does anyone remember the show that replaced it? Days of Our Lives? It was equally as bad as Sunset Beach.

It ended with Meg waking up with Ben to find out all that had happpened during the series was all just a big dream. That is what cemented its rubbishness. :smile:

OMGGGGGGGGGGGG, I used to watch Sunset Beach religiously~!!

Anyone remember how often Ben used to say 'Damn it Meg' I still say that to this day and just get weird looks :frown:

I remember that they were stuck in a building or something (or there was an earthquake :rolleyes:

) and they slept together because they thought they were going to die, but a camera just happened to be filming the whole thing (don't ask me how)! :biggrin:

And the Ben and his evil twin storyline :p:

! Brilliant!! I stopped watching it when that old man died, and came back as the uncle. That was too ridiculous even for my 12 year old mind.

No, Antonio was in love with Gaby who was going out with his brother, Ricardo who she had stolen from her sister Paula. I can't believe I still remember this.

I'm glad I wasn't the only sunset beach obsessive!!! I used to watch it religiously. The funniest thing was the madonna which was supposedly going to kill everyone that came within 10 feet of her. A funy episode I also liked was when annie tried to entice gregory by putting whipped cream all over herself. Not to mention olivia who slept with her daughter caitlin's bloke Cole had his baby only for it to be stolen by Annie and have it given to caitlin lol!!!
And poor vanessa when she had a curse put on her face so she had those green sores too!! The end was lame when meg woke up and it never happened- how long must she have been asleep for!!! Bring back Sunset Beach!!!
