LSE - Columbia Exchange Programme

I have been on the LSE site and there is no mention of a link with Columbia.
I have read on a thread somewhere that LSE and Columbia are exchange partners.

Is it possible for me to study Economics at LSE for two/three years, or something, and then transfer for a final year in Columbia.

How would I do this? Do I have to find someone at Columbia willing to come to LSE?

I would really love to do something like this and if the exchange proramme is true, I think I would prefer to study Economics at LSE rather than Cambridge, which is my first choice.

This is a crux decision for me. Any information will be hugely appreciated. Thanks. :wink:

I guess this is the same concept as the law exchange.

Well, you have to be on a 1st or top 2:1 to qualify. Usually 20 apply, 2 or 3 go through.
LSE does the rest.

AFAIK the LSE-Columbia link only exists for students studying law (LLB).

they're expanding the program - but I heard there is a little bit of a roadblock in terms of the granting of degrees.

columbia does not accept international transfer students, i think the LLB/JD is an exception

Are you sure? Cause I think Yale, Harvard etc all accept international transfer students.

harvard, yale, stanford does but princeton and columbia does not

no i think harvard and yale takes everything, i think chicago does also, not sure about the others
