An aphrodisiac is a food/drink (generally) which is seen as sensual and supposedly heightens sexual arousal/attraction. Stuff like chocolate, champagne, oysters...though personally I think swallowing raw shellfish is decidedly unsexy, but whatever floats your boat...
haha, i'm exactly the same, especially as the first time i ever ate an oyster (i was about 8) my cheeky grandpa said to me 'gracie you do realise all that squishy stuff in your mouth is the little oyster's guts?!'

no you're completely right, it's supposed to be right up there with oysters. apparently oysters are likened to female genitals and asparagus is likened to a penis. mmmmmm 
I'm not convinced about the phallic nature of asparagus. It's kind of skinny and floppy, for starters. I remember a conversation once on here with people talking about how you could eat it seductively and drip butter...I was just "so you look like you can't actually cope with eating food normally?"
Chocolate fondue is my favouritest thing ever.
