yep thats the one...St. Georges University....has anyone applied for it?

I had but I withdrew my application. It was too expensive for me. Also you have to sit an exam thingy after to be allowed to practice in the uk and i cant remember exactly how many people pass it bt its low.

O no!! i have applied for it but im worried that not alot of people have applied for it especially considering as they were only planning to take 5-10 people!!! Yeah that exam is worrying but i think the first person to graduate from SGU with a DVM and practice in the UK passed the exam. I think, well i hope, its other foreign universities that produce graduates who fall below the RCVS standards!!!!!

I'd be a little weary of the course if I were you. The pass rate for the RCVS exam is incredibly low, if possible I would try my best to get into a UK vet school first. Or if failing that an AVMA accredited Vet School in the US would be safer.
I mean at the end of the day it is down to you, just make sure you are aware of all the pros and cons before you embark on such a long course.

Good luck

thanks! i have got into RVC for vet med and the gateway programme so i might just stick with that! i mean the gateway has got even lower grade requirments than the pre-vet so theres no problems there!! I really want to go to Nottingham for vet med where i am on a waiting list for an offer, as there course is more clinical. Ill just have to sit tight and wait!! lol..thanks for your help

Id definitely stick with vet med or the gateway program.
The pass rate of the RVC exam is 22% and you can take it twice! So you have less than a 50% chance of being allowed to practice in the UK.
If St Georges was up to the RVC standereds they would probably accredit it as many degrees from abroad are accredited. Degrees from the EU,America, Australia and south africa are all approved by the RVC.
