Ashamed?

Ive been seeing this lad now for about month and half, its not really serious and most of the time i just go round to his. Recently ive started to sleep with him which is fine for the moment ( just dont know where relationship is going- wouldnt say we are dating, more just having fun) but ive noticed that he doesnt tell some of his mates i know that he is seeing me ( or sleeping with me), now is he ashamed or is he just respecting me by not sharing all details? Hes invited me out for his bday soon which will be with other people, so was that just being "polite" or ..?

I think the fact that he has invited you to his birthday signifies something- that he does want to "show you off" to his mates. He probably thought it was too soon for you to meet them. As with girls, I'm guessing guys need to be sure that you're not just a flash in the pan before letting you meet his mates. Well done, I think you've passed the test. :rolleyes:

I agree with person above. try not to read into things so much cos it ends up making simple things complicated. just go to the bday party, see how it goes, dont analyse his actions bcos itl be annoying for both you and him. just enjoy whats going on and see how things end up

It may just be that he doesn't like to talk about whoever he's going out with. I have friends like that, who refuse to discuss even a random pull in a club. Gossip-mad as I am, it's rather frustrating.

i dont tell all my friends who im seeing - you only need to worry if he avoids letting them know e.g if your out in public and he wont hold your hand ect

I just hope he isnt using me just for sex though and thats why he isnt telling his friends, or do you think because he isnt telling his friends he respects me more because to be fair most lads normally tell everyone when they sleep with someone, dont get me wrong i dont mind how hes keeping everything quiet its just i hope he isnt ashamed :s-smilie:

i think if he was just using you for sex, he'd be showing off alot more to his friends. I agree with whats already been said,i think you're reading into this a bit too much, i think he hasn't told his friends as he probably respects you more than that, at the end of the day, you know what most lads are like, if he told all his mates, he'd get the constant "shagged her yet" etc...which it seems like he doesn't want. Aslong as he's still seeing you and you two are still having fun, just enjoy it :wink:
