I think 9/11 had something to do with TERRORISTS and not reinforced concrete as a building frame

You are the idiot, the twin towers were built cheaply so they could be erected quicker and this made the frame more fragile then others.

Advantages

Buildings are generally more expensive to build therefore it is difficult to attract industry / commerce.

Disadvantages

Buildings may be more suceptable to natural events such as earthquakes (Japn's redevelopment is your example).
