unanswerable questions

about a month ago i broke up with my bf, it was a long distance r-ship and we had been only going out about 6 weeks. i just find the fact that there are so many unanswered questions about the relationship troubling. for example we knew eachother months beforehand and had really awesome conversations - we could talk all night type thing. he seemed extremely keen on me then within about a month this lapsed into ambivalence towards me, which seems so strange when he had really valued me for about 6 months. he sent me a strange email about his life, using phrases like his world was emptying and he felt directionless and that he didn't know what he was doing anymore. i found this extremely puzzling and hard to understand! i sent one back saying i felt hurt etc but offering support if he really felt he was depressed. to be honest i just don't know what to think anymore. any ideas? a friend suggested he was just trying to sound messed up to use as a getout clause, but i don't know. :s-smilie:

Any ideas on what precisely? You broke up...he was acting weird. What's the question?

i would not know either because as you said the questions are unanswerable. therefore it is impossible to give you an answer

i agree with your friend. It looks to me that he was just using his 'depression' as a way of getting out of it. But if you do really like him, then do try and find out the real reason
