magnetic circuit and working of shell type transformer watch

    i am working on this problem on transformers, its a shell type with E & I sections and an air gap.i need to find the current in the central limb. i cant do that bcoz i do not understand the magnetic circuit of such a type of transformer.

    any help will be appreciated.

    is it not to do with inductance as current passes through primary coil creating magnetic field lines - the relative movement of these with respect to the stationary secondary coil induces a current there

    i just wanted to knowhow to determine the length of flux so that i can calculate the current in the primary coil.
