Cool flannels?

And then green make up in the morning (pinch some from friend/mum/sister/girlfriend if you're a boy) which should make it less noticable.

Just use some emollient cream - E45 etc.. That will also help a bit.

Is it true that covering the burn with mustard helps?
Stick some after-sun in the fridge until its really cold, then put it on the burnt areas. Feels gorgeous and should take some of the redness away

After sun and moisturizer! If it comes up in lil white blisters don't like like itch your face or anything. Unfortunately there's no miracle cure with sun burn but it usually goes away in a few days. If your a girl you could try putting a really light tinted moisturizer on and that might hide some of the redness.

No, i dont think it will blister. I just want to get the redness down to lighter levels so it doesnt look ridiculous.

Ive just put a thick layer of moisturizer on my face without rubbing it in and it seems to be drawing heat out, but at the same time makes my skin feel prickly. is this normal?

Did you use a sensative moisturizer?? You don't want to irritate your skin more but I'm sure it'll help to cool your face down. Try Neutrogena's tinted moisturizer...it'll cover the red but it's not heavy like foundatoin.
