Tell him very clearly and firmly that it is over (just to make 100% sure he gets that drummed into him) and that you have no interest in further contact. When he contacts you from now on, take note of all that is said as well as the time and date he calls or shows up. Let him know that you are writing this down and keeping his messages and texts and will be taking them to the police if he doesn't stop.

Thanks. It's just that I heard that you shouldn't give them any sort of contact, even if it's negative - as in telling them not to talk to you and to leave you alone.

Well it depends how explicit you have previously been about not wanting him to get in touch. If you think there is any way that you have given him the wrong idea, led him on or let him think this behaviour is OK then you need to tell him once, very clearly exactly what you want and then never contact him again.

If you believe that you have very clearly sent this message already then don't give him the satisfaction of a response again. Just start collecting up info and then take it to the cops. A stalker wants to get a response from you so the most frustrating thing that can happen (from his point of view) is if you never reply to his messages and never pick up the phone when he calls.

Is he just calling you a lot or is he following you around and harrassing you? If he starts scaring you then you should go to the police cause there are too many horror stories where girls just do nothing.

Police is a bit extreme. Tell him go sod off first, and after that consider Police.

Stalkerish ex-boyfriend, who can't accept it's over. Best thing to do - ignore him, or tell him to stop??
