why lie about your age? because then your relationship would have started on lies. No r'ship is strong built on lies.

Ive lied, well not corrected when they guessed i was 21 etc. .....worked out fantastically for most, except one where he found out - but only after i'd left so never had to face the music

I think that he wouldn't actually - if he genuinely believes that she is over 16 then unless she's 13 or under the charges are much less serious. Unless of course he actually rapes her in which case it's the same as if he raped anyone else.
I've never lied about my age to people in real life. When I was younger and used crappy chatrooms I occasionally said I was a year or two older than I was. Now, there's no point - it's not like it'd be dodgy for anyone to be with a 21 year old. Although I'm with a 20 year old, so they wouldn't get anywhere anyway

Graham Rix, the former Hearts manager got involved in a relationship with a girl who was 15 but said she was older. When he didn't continue with it, the girl told her mother who then got very annoyed and told the police that he had exploited his position as a high profile personality with a young girl.
Result - Rix goes to prison and has to endure a lifetime of people chanting "paedo" at him.
